Oh man - I am so sorry to hear about Roberto. How quickly that progressed. Please let Diana know how sorry we are for her loss and for all of you too. If you guys can't get to Austin - we understand. Mom is doing much better and seems pretty stable. Love to you all. Michele
I got your text message this morning, and thought I'd answer it here, since it's easier and faster to keyboard.
ReplyDeleteFor flowers, we don't have any info for sending them to Ft. Sam, and Roberto didn't want a wake or a funeral mass, so we're just going to the cemetery and there'll be an interment ceremony for his ashes at 3:00 this Wednesday. If you want to send flowers to Josie, her address is Josefina Alvarado, 6106 Vance Jackson Rd. #57, San Antonio, TX 78230. If you want to make a donation in memory of Roberto to a charity instead of flowers, do the St. Jude's Children's Hospital or The March of Dimes.
The cheapest tickets we could get have us leaving Chicago Sunday afternoon and flying back Wednesday night at 7:00. I'll still be trying to get a car and come up to visit with y'all Monday or Tuesday, but have to wait till I'm in San Antonio before making detailed plans.
